getting the cast...and making the field trip!

 Sophie's main concern after breaking her wrist was NOT the pain of getting a cast.  It was missing the field trip with her class to the movies.  

We arrived at the orthopedic dr.'s office at 8:30 and were out an hour later. 

She made it to the field trip just fine.

I was so happy she got back to school and into her groove quickly.

UNTIL I got a phone call from the nurse's office saying Sophie got hit in the cast with a ball at recess.  

Ugh.  

If she can "take it easy" for 1 week she will have a waterproof cast for the summer!  I don't know how she will make it.
