This has been such an amazing summer. I'm so sad that it's over!
We decided to go to the happiest place on earth to lift our spirits.
School started for the older kids last week even though we made a silent protest.
Alex came home from her first day back to show me her picture on the high school website.
While the older kids were away, Sophie and I played!
Sophie made a list of things she wanted to do before she was back in the classroom. She and I decided to ride Radiator Springs in the HEAT of Disneyland.
SO HOT.
Here we are sweating in the single rider line.
It was our first time on the ride.
Note to self...hair elastic needed.
On my summer bucket list was to try Sprinkles Ice Cream.
Check!
Steve and I were so happy to end our summer with a date night out for dinner with some of our favorite people.
Love them!
An ongoing summer project has been Matt's Eagle Project at the Legion in Westminster. He is organizing an effort to rebuild the cabinets in the office there. We only have a few weeks before he turns 18 so we are in get-this-done-yesterday mode.
Sophie likes to visit with this dog while she helps out at the legion.
Matt has actually learned a lot and it has been great for him and Steve to hang out.
And, yeah, we really love getting Banzai Bowls downtown.
So today, it is official.
Summer is over as Sophie started 6th grade today.
And Matt is a SENIOR.
Ugh.
Where did the time go?
