As the kids get older, I get a lot less cool. They think they are old enough to make their own decisions and that they don't need my input concerning a lot of things. But the one thing they will always find "cool" is food. That's how I get them to hang out with me :)
This has been the case for awhile. I found these pics and video of when I took my ten year old Alex out of school for a lunch date . She got to pick the place and she was so excited (again, about the food, not me).
I like the food too, but I love hanging out with these kids while I still have the chance!
