I love reading through cookbooks and have bought TOO MANY.  So, to justify the purchases, I have decided to bake or cook something out of a different one a few times each week.  This week was chocolate chip walnut cookies:

and then I decided to make pretzels, and they were YUM.  

(same dough recipe, but you immerse the pretzels in boiling water and baking soda for a minute before baking).

He enjoyed hanging around while all of this baking was going on.
